Deaf Magicians Association

Gate Communications

http://www.gatecommunications.org/

This group is difficult to classify. They are religious in nature, and focus on interpreting at concerts and social events throughout the country, and also do sign instruction, interpreter workshops, deaf culture type trainings, etc. Sounds like a great agency to get to know more about.

The Sign Painters

http://www.thesignpainters.com/

The Sign Painters is an organization of people who are dedicated to the promotion of Deaf Awareness in the community. They convey their information through music, costume, mime, dance and skits that are all performed in the graceful art of sign language, with a translation for the sign language-impaired. The Sign Painters first performed on February 14, 1980 and have been going about showing the Deaf that they too can enjoy the beauty of art and music. But do not be mistaken, they also teach the hearing about the Deaf Community. This is accomplished through performances at community organizations, nursing homes, blood drives, churches, women's clubs, schools, Girl Scout groups, Panoply and various other audiences throughout the community. This organization of all volunteers is funded by your donations. Catch our next performance. You never know, you may learn something!
