Deaf Empowerment has had a busy few months. We’ve sponsored Child and Family Services events, fund raisings events, and of course our PAH! Event in addition to other things.

As we look ahead we continue to make plans for new events. One way to stay up-to-date with what is happenaing is to visit our website at www.deafe.org, and click on upcoming events. As new events are added they will added to this list.

Here are some upcoming events that we can highlight:

December 20 Fund Raiser—We will be manning Barnes and Noble’s Christmas Wrapping center. This is a fund raiser where we wrap people’s books for free, in hopes of a small contribution as a tip. We are looking for volunteers to help with this if you are interested.

January 22 Roller Skating—This will be another Child and Family Services event sponsored by Deaf Empowerment. If you know a family who has children that are affected by Deafness, let them know about this free event. The flier for this event is listed below.

March 11-13 Statewide Parenting Conference—Although this event is not being sponsored by Deaf Empowerment, we wanted to pass along this great opportunity. This will be the third annual conference, and the previous conferences have been very helpful to parents of D/HH children. It is highly recommended.

As we continue to plan, we can always use YOUR input to help make Deaf Empowerment successful. We are planning many more events such as social get-togethers for D/HH Senior Citizens, employment trainings, and many more.
